Semi-Private Père Lachaise Cemetery Walking Tour

Paris’ largest cemetery is a labyrinth deliberately designed to confuse visitors.  Follow your guide closely to pay respects to some of the most famous residents, such as Edith Piaf, Oscar Wilde, and Jim Morrison, and discover some new names along the way.  This is not your average cemetery and its residents have some of the nicest views in the city.  Come experience those with us!

Tour Details

Meet your guide at the Gambetta metro where you will take a lesser known entrance into the cemetery.  Start your tour by hearing about all the scandals that led to the opening of this breathtaking cemetery. Closely follow your guide as you meander through rows of graves to meet the cemetery’s most famous inhabitants, such as Edith Piaf, Gertrude Stein, Oscar Wilde, and Jim Morrison.  Along the way, you will also get to know some French celebrities that now call Père Lachaise home.  You will end with a classic French love story, known as the French Romeo and Juliet near the cemetery’s main entrance.
